YOU NEED SUPPORT

I think the most important thing we need as writers/aspiring writers is support. Whether it is family, friends like fellow bloggers that know what you are going through or just a friends in general that will listen to your whining and ranting. A support base is very important because those people are the ones that stop you from hitting rock bottom. They encourage you when you feel like you can no longer go on. They believe in you when you hit a weak point and don't believe in yourself.

Thank you to all my blogger friends that always show up to encourage and advise me in the best ways to proceed. You guys are invaluable to me.

  1. I so agree. As writers--I hate that word aspiring--we need to connect and commiserate with other like-minded people. Finding and connecting with folks like you through Blogger has both made me a better writer and helped me to move forward.

I'm also a member of Alex's IWSG and am following his advice, hopping around and making new connections. I'm now following you! I hope you find some time to drop by and connect, perhaps leave a comment. I love comments!!

  2. I completely agree. I worked on my book in almost isolation (except for family who couldn't avoid me & vice/versa) and while I accomplished more writing the lack of social contact was depressing.

I am going to take advantage of the plethora of other writers out there who are in the same boat. I hope I can give to people what internet bloggers have given to me in the short time I have been blogging.

Melissa - I can so relate to what you are saying. My family weren't happy about the idea that I wanted to be a writer, but they have come around. It is a pleasure meeting you.

Feel free to leave comments. I love comments. But no spam, or hate speech. Your comments will be deleted, and I'd wish you a painful death, and your soul to turn to nothingness.

What is the point?

Today I was plagued with the idea, why? And why?  Everywhere these days there's a silent rule imposed by some invisible person or person...
