K = KARMA

I am a firm believer in Karma, which is why I will never do something to someone that I do not want done to me. Though, I do try to live a positive life and get along with all my fellow humans, the end result is not always that pretty. Having said that, I think it is important for us to at least make an attempt to live our life in the best way possible. Meaning, if you went to bed tonight and you can lay your head down knowing that you didn't hurt anyone or tried to cause a disturbance in their life, you did good.

Karma doesn't seem to like me very much in general, but it doesn't mean that it cannot work wonders for you. Just remember the idea of cause and effect. Other than that, best of luck to you.

  1. I believe in Karma as well. I don't know why we don't teach our children the Golden Rule anymore. But I try to express both to my 10yo who is just learning about character. I hope to instill in him to be the best person he could possibly be. Karma hasn't been nice to me, but it doesn't mean I go out and be mean to everyone else. I try to live and think positively, and I try to encourage others to do the same. It's the only way to truly survive.

  2. Well, I tend to think of it as the Golden Rule and that's how I taught it to my kids, but I notice the next generation seams to prefer "Karma".

    Same idea, different name.

  3. If Karma has anything to do with luck, then I'd have to say that whatever "luck" comes my way, I've worked darned hard for. If people are envious of what I have, I've worked darned hard for it.

    If Karma's about the Golden Rule then yes, I always try to do unto others as I would have them do unto me.

    Stopping by from the A-Z. I'm also an aspiring writer and your newest follower.

  4. I did karma too!! I would like to say I'm always a good person, but I have my days...when it comes back I always know why.

  5. I definetely believe in karma. Cause and effect are good lessons all the time. And it sure helps to sleep at night knowing I stayed true to myself.

  6. Jamie Dement - It is definitely something I have been taught by my mother, though she never had a name for it. It was just part of the rules of life to us.

    LD Masterson - My mom taught us all about it but she never gave it a name, it was just common sense to her and she passed it on to us.

    Cathy - It is nice to meet you! I agree with you and I think you should be proud of all you have accomplished. People never seem to think that if someone gains some kind of success that they had actually worked for it. I get that a lot too.

    Jai - I guess I know where some of my bad luck comes from, though not all of it. But I am determined to not have my bad luck streak make my a bitter person.

    Silvia - I could not agree with you more. Living by a set of rules that allow you to sleep at night and be true to yourself is what it is all about.

  8. Karma is real! What goes around, comes around. It's a natural law of the universe and beyond human control!
    I believe that!

What is the point?

Today I was plagued with the idea, why? And why?  Everywhere these days there's a silent rule imposed by some invisible person or person...
