Hey friends. I don’t know if I ever mentioned this little
fact about me, but I love music. I can’t live without it. As in my previous
post, the lockdown had me fall in love with music all over again. For some time
I’ve been so stressed, that during work the thought of playing music to help me
cope, didn’t naturally occur to me. I just though it’s a personal pleasure, I
can’t possibly listen to it when working, like when we are working on orders,
or stocktaking and so forth. I don’t know why I thought that way. I guess it
doesn’t matter anymore.

I'm a musician, so music is indeed my life. I'm a metal and prog guy. Nothing's more energizing than some Pantera or Dream Theater.
ReplyDeleteKnow of Pantera. Not a big fan, personally. Music is just the best. Rock on🤘
DeleteJohnny Cash music can be very sad. Especially his cover of that Nine Inch Nails song. I don't know the title. It starts "I hurt myself today to see if I still feel." I don't listen to music when I'm writing but sometimes I put in a DVD of a familiar movie and let it play on low volume. I'm so glad that music is helping you write.

Janie
Thank you. I do that too. My mom watches movies in the living room, so I will write there sometimes. I love Johnny Cash's music though.
DeleteMusic does indeed stir all types of emotions. I can see where Clapton and Dylan's songs could help to write sad scenes. I find as I get older I enjoy more instrumental type music but still enjoy the music of my youth from time to time as well. Good luck with your writing.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I like instrumental too. I guess it all depends on my mood. Wishing you the best Mason😉 Stay safe.
DeleteHi Murees - I'm not the most musical - but I love listening to it. Probably mostly music for the soul ... often Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, David Gray ... and Johnny Cash ... but am glad you're enjoying your listening ... take care - Hilary
ReplyDeleteI love listening to music. It's an amazing feeling when you hear a song you love, and how in an instant it lifts your mood. Stay safe.
